ABOUT US
The INCAMEI logo incorporates seven components:
Seven represents completion. There are seven colors in the spectrum. There are seven musical notes (the diatonic scale) before the completion of the octave, which is the interval between one musical pitch and another with half or doubles its frequency.
The Golden Rectangle and Chambered Nautilus Spiral : The Golden Rectangle is an example of “The Golden Ratio”, which is found throughout nature, and has been used in Art, Architecture, and Music for thousands of years. It is considered to be the apex of beauty and symmetry. The Ancient Egyptians were apparently aware of both The Golden Ratio (Phi) and Pi (3.14…) in their construction of the Great Pyramids. The Blue, Indigo, and Violet Butterfly: The Butterfly is a symbol of transformation. Its color is that of the last three colors in the spectrum of visible light. This represents our journey towards the invisible and transcendent world.
The Spectrum: We find that the contrast of colors in the spectrum of light is most beautiful and appealing when they are selected in accord with The Golden Ratio. The spectrum of color overlays the logo. It represents the beautiful symmetry, diversity, and interconnectedness of humanity and the amazing universe that we inhabit.
